• tape casting with solvent and water based slips
• amination of polymer tapes for composite formation
• blending dry materials with minor powder additions
• binder and lubricant additions to powders
• grinding and screening of hard and contamination sensitive materials
• wet bag isostatic pressing
• slip casting of non-plastic oxide and metal powders
• casting porous, low density materials
• formulation and spray drying of oxide slurries
• designing drying schedules for large monolithic shapes
• performance of physical measurement including density and porosity
• DOE (design of experiment) evaluation of mixes or processes
• use of computer to analyze images
• computer aided mechanical design
• analytical experience in obtaining and analyzing results from various instruments including SEM, EDAX, XRD, DTA/TGA, TEC, BET, AA, IR , particle distribution analyzers, and others.
